Boil Water Advisory
Due to repair work on a water line, which resulted in a temporary interruption in
service, McComb residents are advised to boil water before consumption until at
least Thursday morning.

Village Council Meeting
January 9, 2012
The first council meeting of the year saw the return of Mayor Robert Schwab, the
election of Councilman Gordon Myers as council president for 2012 and Councilman
Robin Rader as vice president. Also, returning to the council by appointment was
Lisa Mansfield.
The Mayor talked to the council about setting goals for the coming year, including
attracting a senior housing facility, continuing the sidewalk installation project and
replacing the water which was installed in 1938.
The council decided to change the time for the start of the regular council meetings
from 7:30 to 6:30.
Having only one council meeting each month does not always allow enough time for
the council members to have input on expenditures. The committee-of-the-whole will
meet on Wednesday, January 18, to consider the matter.

McComb Athletic Boosters Annual Reverse Raffle
Saturday, March 31, 2012; Meal: 5 p.m.
Cost $50.00 per ticket which includes 1 meal. Extra meal tickets are $20.00 each
$100 Early Bird Special Drawings will be held at the McComb boys basketball game
on February 10 (Cory Rawson), so get your tickets today!
You need not be present to win at the special early bird drawings. For Reverse
Raffle tickets, please contact any McComb coach, or Johnny Dee (293-3704) or
Brian & Kerri Buck (293-3226).

13 ABC All Stars Coming to McComb
The "athletes" of Channel 13 ABC News Team are coming to McComb. On Saturday,
February 18, the 13ABC All Stars basketball team will play the McComb Teachers in
the new gym at McComb High School. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2:00 pm.
Tickets for this event will be $5.00 and $2.00 for students. No Sports Passes.

Honoring Andrews Raiders
On June 23, 2012, Andrews Raiders will be remembered in an all day event designed
for the whole family. There will be a parade, a civil war encampment, musket and
canon firing and other events. Larry Sudlow is the Co-Chairman of the committee
that meets each month at 1:00 at the VFW.

Food Pantry Open
The 2012 schedule for the food pantry is listed on the calendar page of this website.
The McComb Food Pantry is now located in downtown McComb. The pantry is open
the third Saturday of every month from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. It is open to all area
residents who are in need of food items and household supplies. Items have been
donated by area churches and organizations.
The food pantry was started five years ago in the basement of the McComb United
Methodist Church. The space for the new location was graciously donated by
Bennett Brothers Furniture.
