                                     Council News

Feb 22, 2010

The council is planning to make an offer on the building next to the firehouse.
An offer of $12,000 will be made.  The building is currently listed at $35,000
and is owned by the Federal National Mortgage Association.  The building
could be torn down for public parking or used to expand the fire department.

The council voted a pay raise of 2% for village workers, excluding park and
pool employees.

The Police department will no longer respond to non-injury accidents that
occur on private property, as these call are taking up too much of the
department's time.

The council will beet as an informal Committee-of-the-Whole at 6:30 pm on
March 8 to discuss the Independence Day fireworks.
