Council Meeting News
               April 14, 2014
The Council learned that work on a broken section of the sanitary sewer
line in the alley behind East Perrin Ave. has been largely completed.  The
finishing work of smoothing out the alley-way and repairing damage to a
resident's lawn will be completed this week.  Also, some residents have
complained about backed up drainage in another area.  The village will
look into a waterline problem near Panther Parkway.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the McComb VFW announced they planned to
hold the Independence Day Fireworks in the park on Saturday, July 5.
Donations to help defray the cost will be greatly appreciated.

The swimming pool is expected to open on Memorial Day weekend.

The council plans to ask the Findlay-Hancock County Community
Foundation for funds to help restore the old jail at the park.

                            Sharing the Harvest
Spring is coming.  Soon, gardeners all over the village will be
planting their home gardens and looking forward to a bountiful
harvest.   This year, consider helping others who are less fortunate
by planting a few extra plants and donating the produce to the
McComb Food Pantry.  Imagine how much could be added to the
food pantry if every gardener in McComb followed this simple
practice.  If you can help add to the Food Pantry, call Diane Parker
at 419-788-5513.

                                  Community Garden
A community garden where anybody can plant vegetables for their
family, or others, is a great idea.  A plot is needed in or very near
the village.  Do you have such a plot or an unused lot?  If so, send
